Wild Feathers bird rescue is dedicated to saving the tiniest bird hatching right out of the egg, the fledgling being chased by a cat or an injured bird in need of medical treatment, getting the birds back into their natural wild environment as quickly as possible is the goal. With passion and dedication, each and every bird is given the best possible care and medical treatment.
With over eight years of wild bird rescue and rehabilitation and domestic bird rescue experience, Teri Latsko, founder of American Wild Feathers holds the required state and federal permits to provide medical treatment from broken wings and legs to infectious diseases, poisoning, head injuries, avian pox, abandoned baby birds to the fledgling in need of rescuing, the hatching egg, ducks in your pool or the flyaway parakeet or lost parrot.
The best veterinarians with avian experience provide additional advice and treatment to ensure a healthy and happy release back into the natural wild. We offer advice for the general public, as every situation is a different one and may vary from bird to bird. Along with the acquired State and Federal U.S. Fish and Wildlife permits, indoor and outdoor flight cages are provided for the birds. All wild birds are released back into the wild in the best area suited for the species.
Because we are a home based indoor bird rescue facility, we have the benefit of 24/7 care and with less overhead are able to offer every bird high quality care, and around the clock feeding schedule.
We also work closely with other local wildlife rehabbers and education centers. Our home base is in Plano, TX centrally located off 75 central and The George Bush Turnpike, and 10 min from The North Dallas Tollway.
We are a new non-profit bird rescue organization and are in need of donations to continue to provide quality care for the birds, and eventually a larger facility with outdoor flight cages as we grow.

Wild Feathers is no longer accepting birds for rehabilitation due to an upcoming move out of state. Please call Rogers Wildlife in Plano at 972-225-4000 if you have a wild bird that needs help.
